The Bright Doves of St. Francis a youth club in Kamwokya – Kampala established under the spirituality of St. Francis as the Young Franciscans (Youfra) and registered as a CBO under Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) runs the Bright Doves Sports Academy under its program ’Sports for Development’. This is aimed at promoting the young talent in sports especially Soccer, Netball and Volleyball amongst the members.
The Bright Stars i.e. both the Football and Netball teams take part in different sports galas where they compete favorably with other participants. For example the Youfra sports gala which is a yearly event organized by The Young Franciscans of Uganda (Youfra) and the other local Youth sports galas in our community at different levels.
