Young and skillful Jomo Cosmos' Zimbabwean-born midfielder Matthew Rusike has attracted interest from Belgian giants AA Ghent who have invited the player for trials during this off-season.

Jomo Cosmos owner Jomo Sono has already confirmed to Zimbabwean journalists that Rusike will be off to Belgium this off-season for trials with AA Ghent. This is the same club that bought former Cosmos and Kaizer Chiefs player Valery Nahayo last season.

Cosmos, who were relegated to the National First Division at the end of this past season are looking at cashing on two of their best players during this past season.

Rusike, a former University of Pretoria player who can play either as a left/right sided midfielder or a striker was arguably Cosmos best player for the last half of the season. He and striker Siyabonga Nontshinga were regulars and key players in Cosmos' fight against the drop.

Now Jomo Sono is looking at getting cash to buy more players to bolster his squad ahead of what appears to be a grueling one year in the first division. Cosmos have always bounced each time they have found themselves in the NFD.
