Kaizer Chiefs coach Vladimir Vermozovic has landed himself in real hot water for excluding the club’s most loyal son and midfield general Tinashe Nengomasha from the squad that narrowly lost 3-2 away to Orlando Pirates on Saturday afternoon.
Amakhosi appeared lost and like a team missing leadership in the middle of the park, falling 0-3 within the first 23 minutes.
While the central midfield pair of Lucky Baloyi and Willard Katsande played with vigour in the second half, it was clear the team needed the grit of combative Nengomasha.
Now VV has been summoned to meet with the Club’s management today, and rumours around town have ti that the Serbian could have irritated his bosses by his ever deteriorating relationship with the club’s most senior players.
Sources revealed to Kick-off.com that VV’s days at Naturena may be numbered for leaving out the team’s most important midfield player in the last 10 seasons.
"VV has been summoned to a meeting today and chances that he will remain head coach at Kaizer Chiefs are very slim," a source told Kick-off.com on Tuesday.
"His decision to leave Nengomasha out of the Soweto Derby did not sit very well with the management and that is another reason that could cost Vermezovic his position as head coach at Kaizer Chiefs."
