Fufa are demanding that Uganda Super League (USL) players be present before the local soccer governors can append signatures to their contracts.
The USL sent contracts to Fufa for approval but the documents remain at their headquarters in Mengo - unapproved.
Addressing a weekly conference in Mengo yesterday, Fufa publicist Rogers Mulindwa admitted they had the contracts but could only approve with all parties present.
"We have directed the Fufa Competitions Committee to invite the clubs (with the players) so that we sign off the contracts in the correct manner," League manager Paul Kabaikaramu said.
"As USL, all we do is register the players, we donít do the licencing," he said. "Fufa does that and it is their obligation to approve the licences.
"Why go to the press in the first place, call the clubs to come with their players and the matter is sorted," Kabaikaramu added.
